Realistic Weapon Carry System (Community & Leak Analysis)

One of the most significant gameplay evolutions in Grand Theft Auto VI—first observed by the community in the 2022 development builds and visually reinforced in trailer footage—is the transition away from carrying dozens of heavy weapons simultaneously in an invisible pocket.

Inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2, the weapon system emphasizes grounded physical realism:

• ◆Concealed Sidearms: Pistols and compact submachine guns can be holstered on the hip or concealed under clothing.
• ◆Visible Slung Long Guns: Assault rifles, tactical shotguns, and sniper rifles are visibly slung across the character's back or chest when equipped.
• ◆Vehicle Trunk Storage: Heavy weaponry and reserve ammunition are stored inside the trunk of Lucia and Jason's personal vehicle, allowing players to gear up right before initiating a robbery.
