Regional Overview
The Leonida Keys form the southernmost tropical archipelago of Leonida, officially profiled by Rockstar Games on rockstargames.com/vi and stretching southwest from the mainland into turquoise ocean shallows. Modeled after the real-life Florida Keys, the region is linked by monumental concrete causeways—including a counterpart to the historic broken Bahia Honda / Seven Mile Bridge showcased in Trailer 1.
Narrative Significance
Per Rockstar Games' official Trailer 2 character biographies, the Leonida Keys serve as Jason Duval's home turf:
- ◆Heder Boat Works & Marina: Operated by veteran smuggler Brian Heder and his wife Lori, serving as a front for maritime contraband running through the Keys straits.
- ◆Coast Guard Patrols: The surrounding waters are actively monitored by the United States Coast Guard, whose radio frequencies are tracked by Jason's friend Cal Hampton.
