Official Rockstar Biography
Cal Hampton is a close friend of Jason Duval and a fellow associate in Brian Heder's Leonida Keys circle. Introduced in Rockstar Games' official Trailer 2 character biographies, Cal embodies the paranoid, eccentric fringe of rural Florida culture.
According to Rockstar's official description, Cal "feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open."
Role in the Keys Circle
- ◆Radio & Scanner Snooping: By listening in on maritime Coast Guard frequencies, Cal stays abreast of naval patrols and law enforcement activity in the Keys straits.
- ◆Comic Foil to Jason: Cal's armchair paranoia and refusal to leave his comfort zone contrast sharply with Jason and Lucia's escalating real-world criminal ambitions.
